About Us

I'm Manjusha, founder of VARNIKI. 

Since childhood, sarees have held a very special place in my heart.

They have always been much more than outfits to me — they have been connected to emotions, memories, colour, and happiness.

As a little girl, I would drape my mother's sarees and stand in front of the mirror, smiling at my reflection and feeling happy in a way I couldn't explain then.

I still remember our summer holidays. My mother and the women around our home would tie their sarees to the big neem tree beside our house and turn them into swings for us children. My friends and I would play there for hours. The softness of those sarees, their beautiful colours, and the happiness of those evenings became some of the most beautiful memories of my childhood.

As I grew older, my love for sarees only deepened.

At weddings, poojas, festivals, and family celebrations, I loved seeing women in traditional sarees. I noticed how the right colour, the right drape, and the right saree could completely change the way a woman looked and carried herself.

Whenever I wore sarees to special occasions, my friends would often compliment me on my saree choices and colour combinations. Slowly, I began to realise that choosing beautiful sarees and colours was something I genuinely loved.

And from those memories, emotions, admiration, and love for sarees — VARNIKI was born.

Today, we curate lightweight traditional sarees, personally selected for their beautiful colour combinations, soft texture, graceful drape, and comfort. Every saree is chosen with the thought that it should not only look beautiful on a screen, but also make a woman feel beautiful when she finally sees herself wearing it.

That is the feeling I want VARNIKI to create.

We created VARNIKI for women who love tradition but don't want to compromise on comfort. For the woman getting ready for a pooja, attending a wedding, celebrating a festival, welcoming loved ones into a new home, or simply dressing up for a meaningful family occasion.

I believe every woman deserves to stand in front of the mirror before a celebration and feel beautiful, confident, and completely herself — just as I felt as a little girl in my mother's saree.

Because sometimes, a saree is not just worn.

It becomes a memory. ✨
